Raw Innovation is built around a tried and tested Innovation Process. We take you on the journey from Insight > Ideas > Implementation and ultimately come out the other end with a successful solution. 

Our Innovation Process 

Stage 1: Imperative Define and scope the challenge. Set out what success looks like. 
Stage 2: Immersion - Immerse yourself in the world of consumers, dig deep for clues
Stage 3: Insights - Uncover the real ah-hah insights & opportunities to focus on 
Stage 4: Ideas - Generate ideas based on the insights 
Stage 5:  Impact Judge, Test & Select the best ideas
Stage 6Implementation Make it happen 

This process requires a different level of thinking. The key is in Stage 3 - the Insight Process. This is where we turn data, clues & information from consumers or customers in to future opportunities based on gaps in the market or un-met needs. It means that the ideas that we generate are linked to a specific opportunity & hence more likely to succeed. 

We use this process for a number of challenges including new product development, line extensions, incremental & transformational innovation and even internal challenges that organisations face. 

There are a few things that we're big on:
- Ensuring the core team is involved in immersion. We get the people who are generating and implementing the ideas to be involved upfront in getting first hand experience about what the consumer is thinking, feeling or doing. It's their job to help uncover where the real opportunities are. We believe it makes it easier to have ideas & make them happen if they've heard it from the customer's mouth. We teach people how to immerse themselves which means you might find yourself scouring peoples fridges, looking in handbags and uncovering real 'gold nuggets.'
- Prototype Bounce & Build. We know that the faster you can build something and make it real for people, the quicker you can get feedback to pull it apart and make it better. There's no point heading down a path and investing copious amounts of money if it's not a winner. Find out what people love or hate early and be committed to making it better faster.

We work best to deadline so put some boundaries on the project, set a clear ambition and unleash the beast. Some of the most successful innovation happens under pressure. Fosters did it so well with Pure Blonde. They had 90 days to come up with a new beer or someone was going to lose their job.

RESULTS 
We've been working with particular client for 5 years now and in that time we've run numerous workshops understanding key insights and generating new ideas to increase market share. 

The Overall Challenge 
1. Increase market share 
2. Influence the customer behaviour
3. Increase the number of initiations (people that get started on this product/brand)

What we did 
We ran 2-3 Insights and Ideation Workshops every year with a cross functional team focused on specific challenges. The workshops were run during the Brand Planning Process and stimulated a bunch of innovative ways to tackle every issue we faced along the way. The best ideas were then implemented. 

The RESULTS 
  • 13% of customers prescribed the brand in 2006 
  • 95% of customers prescribed the brand in 2010 
  • 5% preferred our brand in 2006 
  • 54% preferred our brand in 2010  
Obviously the figures are highly confidential but you can start to see the impact we have had on the market share.
