The key is in Stage 3 - the Insight Process. This is where we turn data, clues & information from consumers or customers in to future opportunities based on gaps in the market or un-met needs. It means that the ideas that we generate are linked to a specific opportunity & hence more likely to succeed. We use this process for a number of challenges including new product development, line extensions, incremental & transformational innovation and even internal challenges that organisations face. There are a few things that we're big on: - Ensuring the core team is involved in immersion. We get the people who are generating and implementing the ideas to be involved upfront in getting first hand experience about what the consumer is thinking, feeling or doing. It's their job to help uncover where the real opportunities are. We believe it makes it easier to have ideas & make them happen if they've heard it from the customer's mouth. We teach people how to immerse themselves which means you might find yourself scouring peoples fridges, looking in handbags and uncovering real 'gold nuggets.' - Prototype Bounce & Build. We know that the faster you can build something and make it real for people, the quicker you can get feedback to pull it apart and make it better. Increase the number of initiations (people that get started on this product/brand) What we did We ran 2-3 Insights and Ideation Workshops every year with a cross functional team focused on specific challenges.
